Hi There Tarot Friends,

So I'm a little stunned that it is now May. What happened to April? I mean really! I feel like Rip Van Winkle!

Here are some astro dates for this week:

🌗We are still under a waning moon until May 7. Keep cleaning out those closets or performing any energetic clearing you need to do.

I bought a windchime for the front porch to clear the stagnant energy around it.

♀ Venus is now in her home sign of Taurus and Mars in his home sign of Aries. Venus in Taurus is a great time for Spring cleaning and sprucing up the place. I'll be painting the front door turquoise, one of my favorite colors!

If Mars in Pisces dumped cold water on your spice of life, your vigor should return with Mars in Aries.

If you performed the Empress Card spell back in March when Venus was in Pisces, you can do another one with Venus in Taurus. Or if you carried the March spell over, refresh your altar. I'm planning on adding some mint to mine.

Venus is in Taurus through May 22.

Working with your future self and Tarot

I love the idea of working with your future self.

As someone with 5 planets in Virgo, seeing the big picture or the future can be difficult for me.

I tend to get lost in the details.

And perfection.

One exercise I've found helpful is to write a letter from my Future Self to my present self.

I find a goal to or an affirmation to focus on and write the letter as myself having achieved the goal or affirmation.

Then I date the letter with the present date and put it in an envelope with a future date on it.

This envelope is put away until the date specified.

Actually, what usually happens, is I forget about the letter and find it after the date has passed. No matter. The impact is the same.

If you are super eager to get the message from your future self on a specific day, just boomerang it back to yourself out of your email inbox. (This is the snooze setting in gmail).

Sometime in the future, I read the letter, and more often that not, I've pretty much done what I set out to do. Is this Magick? Or just recognition?

Sometimes I pull Tarot cards for points in the future. For example, a card for July.

Then I free write whatever comes to mind around that card.

I just let my mind wander and channel the card in front of me.

Then I do the same procedure, put that paper in an envelope along with a picture or drawing of the card , write a date on the front, and let it marinate.

I've found this is a way to create a dialogue with my future self.

It's quite comforting.

And insightful.
