Short and sweet -- 1min readπŸ‘€

Hi there Tarot Friends,

I love me a good iron skillet.

If you cook with an iron skillet, then you know a new skillet needs to be seasoned.

Over time, the seasoned layer of oils builds up, creating a non-stick surface, provided you keep adding oil.

A seasoned pan also develops a flavor.

It's not an overwhelming flavor causing you to wince and say, "oh fish was cooked in here!".

No, it's a subtle, developed flavor that adds to every meal.

Developing a personal set of Tarot associations (not definitions) works the same way. Over time, layers of subtle flavor develop over each delicious Tarot card.

Sure, your 8 of cups and my 8 of cups taste a lot alike.

But my 8 of cups was cooked in a skillet with years of cooking with cumin and green chilis, while yours in one tinged with sage and tarragon.

I occasionally coat my skillet with oil and put it in a 350Β° oven for an hour or so.

You grease yours after every use with a BBQ brush and oil.

Whose method is correct?

Hint, neither. πŸ˜‰

I hope you buy an iron skillet and discover your own patented seasoning method.

I hope you won't just give up and buy a cheap, Teflon pan.

We're in the thick of it now

The astrology for the next couple of weeks is pretty complicated to say the least.

I mentioned the Jupiter Saturn square a couple of weeks ago. This square has Mars tangled up in it along with Mercury retrograde. This is a week for false starts and the push to make things happen, but you may need to hold your horses!

Next week brings the full moon square Uranus, Mercury conjunct the Sun, and a T-square with Venus, Saturn and Jupiter. Like I said, it's complicated.

I think just knowing that there are a lot of cross currents and players on the field is what we need to navigate this.

Do the best you can and give it your all.

Taking some solitary breaks isn't a bad idea either.
