Confused? Pull a clarifying card πŸ”

Hi There Tarot Friends,

Wow, what an emotional whirlwind the last couple of weeks.

When I worked on the San Carlos Indian Reservation, I remember dust devils spontaneously whipping up in the heat of the afternoon.

These mini-tornados would rip through a small area, throwing dust and garbage up into the air.

Then, the devil would disappear as fast as it appeared.

Sounds like how the month of August has been for me. How about you?

This week will be the last dance with the Devil (month card) for me, and next month I will enter into a month long dance with the Tower (September card).😯

Confused or unclear? How to pull a clarifying card in a way that doesn't make it worse.

Sometimes I come across a card in a reading and what it's trying to point out or say is unclear.

What to do?

One option is to pull a clarifying card.

However, pulling another card can create more confusion rather than clarity.

Here's how to pull a clarifying with the best chance of it being enlightening and helpful.

Use a different deck.

This is one of those it's so simple that it can't possibly work tips that actually does work.

It took me forever to get it through my head, but now I find pulling a clarifying card from a different deck oh so helpful.

Basically, when you pull a clarifying card, you are asking for a different take or a different point of view.

This is similar to when you have a problem and tell a friend about it. You are hoping they know something you don't. Or that they see something you aren't seeing.

So, when you need additional help, ask an additional deck! 🧐

So what deck do you use?

Whatever you've got.

If you have another Tarot deck. Use that.

Lenormand Cards, playing cards, oracle cards... try it out.

I've found pulling a Lenormand card as a clarifying card extremely helpful.

Lenormand is an oracle deck of 36 cards, with very simple images. The images are quite iconic, meaning like an icon.

Some of the cards of the Lenormand deck include:

  • the dog
  • the child
  • the sun
  • anchor
  • clover

In this spread I asked if I was going to be contacted about an annual gig that takes place every September.

The woman who organizes it is semi-retired and I know one day she will be completely retired. Is this year the year?

I show up as the Sun. The event is the moon. What's happening is the 10 of wands.

I tend to overthink when reading for myself, so I thought, hmmm 10 of wands. A lot of work going on to make it happen, but if it's a 10 it should come through.

But will it?

I pulled a clarifying card from the Lenormand and got the Sun.

The Sun in Lenormand, as in Tarot is a very positive card. So I take this as a yes, I will be contacted - not to mention that the Sun matches me as the Sun. 🌞

So the next time you need some clarification try it out.

Let me know how it goes for you.

Astro Talk

So we are past the powerful full moon and headed toward the New Moon in Virgo on Monday, September 2nd.

This week Venus moves into Libra and Mercury stations direct.

Venus was in a tough spot for a while when she was opposite Saturn. On Thursday, the 29th, she enters one of her home signs, Libra. Whew.

And Mercury direct is another sigh of relief. Mercury will be direct in Leo on Wednesday the 28th and then leaves Leo for their home sign of Virgo on September 9.

Mars changes signs on September 4, into Cancer, a sign where he's not super comfortable but if nothing else is focused on home and family.

The next Full Moon is an eclipse at 25Β° Pisces on September `17th.

So, in summary, the next 3 weeks or so should be a time to take a breather, if the last couple of weeks have been difficult. Communications and relationships should improve! And lastly, I think this time period is great for making good art - whatever that means to you.
